Riedmattli Alpnachstad
Tourist zone
The Riedmattli pilot plan, located directly on Lake Alpnach, lays the foundation for the future development of a site spanning approximately 19,361 m². The goal is to develop a high-quality hotel destination that makes optimal use of its unique lakeside location and blends harmoniously into the landscape.
The planning aims to carefully balance the diverse requirements for the site. The goal is to integrate tourism, nature, landscape, and infrastructure into a sustainable overall concept. The preliminary planning establishes the foundation for further planning steps and serves as the basis for decisions regarding the site’s future development.
The site is located in the tourism zone and is characterized by valuable natural and landscape areas. A flat bog, two watercourses, a wooded area, the historic waterfront with its tree-lined avenue, and the proximity to the BLN area require careful consideration of the surrounding environment. At the same time, existing transportation corridors such as the A8 and the Brünig Railway must be sensibly integrated into the planning.
As part of the pilot planning process, various project approaches are being developed and compared. This will allow the site’s opportunities and potential to be optimally utilized and ensure sustainable development.
