The former municipal administration building, known as the “Alte Kanzlei”, stands on the prominent Gerliswilstrasse in Emmen on plot no. 160. Due to its central and prestigious location, the property should not remain unused for long. In addition, the existing building has been classified as worthy of preservation, which is why any new building must be of the highest architectural quality.

The plan is for a new replacement building that combines both residential and commercial uses. To make this possible, the area will be allocated to the special core zone (K-S) as part of a partial revision.
