Haus Rhyn & Alte Mühli Beromünster

The Rhyn House and the Old Mill carefully complement the Hinder Mueli ensemble. Both buildings fit naturally into the existing structure - with a strong connection to history and a clear approach to the site.

The listed house Rhyn 25, located on the right bank of the Wyna, dates back to the 16th/17th century and is part of a smaller residential and commercial quarter to the south of the historic Fläcke. The future use will build on the existing substance and bring new life to the historic house.

The old mill, whose history dates back to the 19th century, and the former sawmill tell of the former trade along the Wyna. Today, they symbolize change - as part of an ensemble that continues to grow with each construction phase.

Beromünster combines past and present in a special way. The historical complex around the canons’ monastery and the close access to nature make the town a vibrant center that is close to life.

Haus Rhyn and the Old Mill complement the whole not loudly, but harmoniously - and continue what has grown here.
